Become A Volunteer

We need you.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in your community and make a difference.  Our work is driven by people just like you.  This is especially important if you have a skill, equipment or connections that could help on our projects and keep our financial budgets at a minimum.  Clear Lakes Foundation relies on volunteers and donations to achieve our goals and remain productive, and it also is a good feature to put on a resume.  We provide all training that is required at no cost.

Ways you can volunteer

Monthly Water Testing

Waterways Committee

Canal Captain

Dock Repair

In partnership with the University of Florida Lake Watch Program, monthly water testing is performed on Clear Lake. UF offers training sessions to volunteers and testing kits are provided. A boat is necessary to reach the testing points on Clear Lake.

The Isle of Catalina HOA oversees the Waterways Committee meetings that occur at 2701 Catalina Drive Orlando, FL. Topics related to Clear Lake are addressed and educational opportunities are delivered.

The Isle of Catalina neighborhood is comprised of seven canals that lead into Clear Lake in Orlando, FL. Canal Captains are needed to oversee canal navigation, water clarity & depth, and aerator locations. This is a great way to meet your canal neighbors.

There are many docks on Clear Lake and in the canals that are damaged from storms and lack of upkeep and we are seeking volunteers to identify and help find ways to repair docks.

What our volunteers are saying.

How To Apply?

Step 1: Evaluate your skills

We all have skills and talents that allow us to do some things others may not be able to perform.  And some of us are a great "Jack of all trades".  Whatever your abilities, and your desires, there are a number of different activities and projects you would be able to join us and meet other volunteers.

Step 2: Consider how much time you can give.

Time is extremely valuable and we understand how busy life can be so carving out the appropriate amount of time on a project that you love is important. The importance of doing something correctly is also key to ensuring a project is completed and in an appropriate amount of time.

Step 3: Sign Up

That's it!  Just contact us, tell us your skills and how much time you can afford, and we'll fit you into one of our project, events, or teams.
